Our client, Shakanda Australia already had a website that could be updated in-house. We were told that the main purpose of the site is to showcase some of their best products – custom ute trays especially ROPS and Truck bodies. Unfortunately, the page code was out of date and the site design was not professional therefore a misrepresentation of a high quality product and service.
The task given to BMD was to increase the brand exposure and improve the company profile through web site design. The web site now provides Shakanda with a new advertising tool to drive sales.
The challenge lay in giving web site visitors an easy way to choose between the two main facets of the clients business – trays and Industrial/Commercial applications. The homepage became a portal and branding exercise to make it easy to navigate and simplify so that it is concise and attractive.
We focused on the words that visitors use when searching for this very specific product. This resulted in a highly successful web site that has continued to drive an increasing level of traffic and potential business.
The finished web site was built using a content management system that allows our client to keep their content up to date in-house as well as a password protected section.
